What: A booth for Nordic World A/S at the MIP TV festival in Cannes.
Why: The booth elements are made of Trovitex which is a very lightweight material, and thereby easy to assemble and handle. In 2009 we made a booth for Nordisk Film A/S in the same material with good results. Back then there was made a carbon food print analysis on the concept, and it showed that over a 3 years period (6 fairs) the Trovitex material was less resource demanding and more eco-friendly than e.g. MDF.

What: The Camping Line
Indoor furnitures: Chair, table, stool, daybed
(moulded beech wood).
Why: The inspiration behind the series is the idea of leisure and togetherness – values that are often associated with camping. Camping brings the enjoyment of camping indoors, and has added quality and character to the overdimensioned interpretation of the familiar furniture.
Camping is part of New Danish Modern – Normann Copenhagen’s Danish furniture series.
The Camping Line received the GOOD DESIGN award in 2008-2009.

What: Play Line - Soapbox car, chair, bench, table and sketching board (handmade and manufactured in Denmark)
Why: Childrens furniture must be designed for children, rather than just being small copies of adult furniture. And preferably with a humorous approach. The soapbox car is an icon of play and creation, making it a natural source of inspiration for me, Jesper K Thomsen, when designing furniture for children. To the extent that the soapbox cart is built in the garage by adults and children together, that is the emotion I want to portray in the furniture series.
Play Line was selected to be part of the exhibition 10+ Design Forecast
